Anti-ravel skid plate
A Soff-Cut® anti-ravel skid plate comes with every Soff-Cut® blade. Changing the skid plate when changing the blade reduces the risk of chipping and spalling.

Husqvarna’s range of Soff-Cut® diamond blades are specially designed for efficient sawing of contraction joints in newly poured concrete slabs – a.k.a. cutting in the concrete’s “green zone”. This method reduces the risk of random cracks in the cured concrete. Optimized for use with Husqvarna’s range of Ultra-Early Entry™ saws. They deliver highly efficient, stable and convenient operation in trap rock, chert, quartz and limestone concrete.

The combined properties of the Soff-Cut® saw, and diamond blade enable you to cut the joints on the same day as the concrete is poured, without the concrete chipping or spalling. This allows for a more efficient process “from pour to floor”.

The XL Purple Series is best suited for ultra hard aggregate, non-abrasive sands.

How to succeed

Start sawing as soon as you’re sure the concrete will support the weight of the saw and operator without marking or damaging the concrete.

Determine the layout of the contraction joints in advance. Ensure straight cuts by drawing guidelines on the surface to follow.

Start the job with a new, unused Husqvarna Soff-Cut® dry-cutting diamond blade and anti-ravel skid plate.
